Giant Sculptural Planter

Corten Steel | 20’ x 6’ x 8’ | 2013

This project defines the edge of the property with a terraced planter large enough to house two large incense cedars and eventually more garden plantings. The balance of each formed section creates an interlocking rhythm that is a play on the dry stack stone walls that are such a prominent feature of the property. The work has the feel of a structure that has shifted subtly from the forces of nature and time.
