Forged steel | 36” long | 2011
Part of a series exploring waterways as designs of pathways of energy. In particular what happens to the form when there is a restriction of flow, like a dam or geographic change. In forging this work the delicate strips that form the ‘tributaries’ of the watershed are cut away and formed from one original length, thus the volume of each river-let is proportionally increased with every confluence.
