Graphic Design Conference Table

Cast glass, tempered glass, steel, wood | 110” x 50” x 29” | 2014

The theme for this project was to create a table that spoke to graphic processes through the ages. The three tilted walls that make the base are reminiscent of print shop catalogues that held typeset during the age of manual typography. Attached along the top edge of theses walls is metal shelving that display a collection of typeset blocks. Set on top of the table is a glass casting of a very early hand written archive ‘In the beginning was the word’. The casting picks up the weathered wood grain from our original carving.
